When twin sons of an emperor and a concubine are separated, Liu Ping and Liu Xie (Ma Tian Yu) grow up in vastly different worlds. Liu Xie becomes Emperor Xian, raised by Empress Dowager Dong, while Liu Ping lives as a commoner alongside Sima Yi (Elvis Han). As fighting erupts among various factions, Emperor Xian loses control of the kingdom to the powerful warlord Cao Cao (Tse Kwan Ho). Upon discovering his twin's existence, the emperor summons Liu Ping to the palace. With the support of Sima Yi, Empress Fu Shou (Regina Wan), and other Han loyalists, Liu Ping must help Emperor Xian fight to save the Eastern Han Dynasty. This is a 2018 Chinese historical drama series directed by Patrick Yau, based on the novel San Guo Ji Mi by Ma Bo Yong.
