Out with the old and in with the new resolutions, new rivalries and the reveal of East High’s Spring Musical. Ricky and Nini are better than ever, but Nini still hasn’t told Ricky that she got into Youth Actors Conservatory, in Denver. Kourtney is inspired by Nini and decides to chase her own dreams. East High is expecting High School Musical 2 to be the next show, but Miss Jenn’s high school, ex-boyfriend, Zack Roy, shows up and changes everything. Zack was given an unlimited budget to direct The Little Mermaid at the rival school, North High, with the goal of winning a prestigious and cutthroat student competition, The Alan Menken Awards for Musical Theater. The group shares their resolutions and count down to the New Year. Miss Jenn announces “Beauty and the Beast” as the Spring Musical and Nini makes an announcement of her own.
