After losing his father to cancer and feeling the weight of his uncertainty, KJ (Dharon Jones ) runs away from home entering the darkest point in his young life with only the clothes on his back and a guitar. A homeless man, Barry (Nick Nolte), stumbles upon KJ in the park and noticing the guitar, asks KJ to perform a song. To his disbelief, he realizes how talented KJ is.
