It’s 1997 and recent college graduate Sungjun is rapidly making a name for himself at one of Korea’s biggest conglomerates. Just as it feels like things are going great for him, the Asian Financial Crisis hits and Sungjun suddenly loses his job along with thousands of others. Hoping to start a new business with his friend, he turns to his mother to ask for money but things don’t go according to plan.
