When Kermit learns someone is trying to steal his bicycle, he runs offstage, leaving Fozzie to present tonight’s legendary guest star – opera diva Beverly Sills. But in typical Fozzie fashion, he fouls up big-time and introduces the celebrated soprano as “one of the truly great singers of country & western music, the queen of Nashville…‘Bev’ Sills”! Fortunately, “Bev” is a real trooper who not only croons the cowboy tune, “When The Bloom Is on the Sage” (in opera-style, accompanied by Lubbock Lou and his Jughuggers), she tap dances too! Stretching her talents even further, Beverly joins Gonzo in the fine art of “spoon-hanging,” and finally, stages and stars in a swinefully spectacular operapalooza: “Pigoletto.”
