43min - Despite the fact there is hardly any snow, a Polish truck driver is unfortunate and hits a rare patch ice on the road. The truck falls over on the side, into a brook. Meanwhile in Odda, local truck towers Thord Paulsen and Olav Eike come across a Turkish driver far away from home.
43min - Travelers with some surprising cargo have driven into a snowbank in the mountains, but it’s hard for towing veteran Bjorn Laegreid to believe what’s inside the vehicle. At the same time a driver is stuck in Odda, with summer tires and no driver’s license. Tow truck boss Thord Paulsen tries to help with new tires, but there’s problems with the payment.
43min - A truck driver dies in Eidfjord, and Bjoern has to get the burnt out truck off the road. In Voss, a fish truck has gone off the road, and it’s up to Ove and his crew to get it back up before the valuable fish goes bad. In Odda, it’s a bad day for the plowers, as two of them break down. The guys needs to get the job done as soon as possible as no plowers on the road, can soon spell disaster for other cars.
43min - In the lack on snow on the roads, in the south of Norway, tow rescuers Thord Paulsen and Bjorn Laegreid go to rescue a sunken boat in the fjord. In the north, a German truck driver transporting new cars, has slid of the road, and rescuer Frank Sebulonsen has to come to the rescue. But then a truck driver drives off the road in the south, and Thord and his crew have to save the day.
43min - In the south, Bjorn Lagreid fixes a snowplough and gives a ride to a minister, while in the north, Jo Roger Blengsli slips off the road. People look to Jo for help to fix the situation.
43min - In the south the weather is about to change, but now it’s all about small jobs and some snowmobile rivalry. When the bad weather arrives, the good times starts for Thord, and the bad for foreign and Norwegian truck drivers alike. In the north, the challenges turns up in the forest where a harvester has tipped over, and in a mud hole where an excavator is about to sink.
43min - Down south, Bjørn Lægreid heads out into the storm to help a truck, and clear the road for the ploughers, but ends up stuck and actually unable to help. Thord Paulsen finds work outside his window, whilst his crew find work on the mountain. Further north, in Orkanger, a cattle truck is lying beside the road, and the job calls for Marius, the expert of the airbags to come to the help.
43min - Thord has his hands full with keeping the road open while the snow keeps falling. Although it’s a never-ending job, Thord is well aware of the importance of these weather conditions as a necessity for his business. Jo Roger in the north get a lot of work from the trucks driving in the forest, filled with timber. Bjorn is on the mountain rescuing a truck when a car tries to bypass him, gets stuck, and then has to be saved by Bjorn.
43min - In the south, Bjorn gets both work and frustration from nature, when he first have to help a car with frozen fuel, and then the road closes because of reindeer. Thord works as a maniac to keep the trucks moving and the road open. In the north, they have to save a truck with fish, a tractor in a house and a dumper that has lost his back axle in steep and icy hills.
43min - In this final episode of Ice Road Rescue we look back on a season of rescue, and study a rescue where everything went wrong. Tow truck rescuers Thord, Bjørn and the guys gather to look back on the season. Stories of life and death, ingenuity, rough weather, and strange stories of foreigners lost in the snowy mountains on summer tires. The guys watch clips in Olav’s apartment and revisit moments that could cause any strongman to cry, laugh or yell out load.
