23min - As 2B's pod repairs A2, the process triggers a memory of her difficult first mission, when she and her squad encountered members of the Resistance.
23min - A2 regains consciousness and finds herself in Pascal's village of machine lifeforms. She tries to leave but collapses due to a mechanical failure.
23min - While attempting to enter the tower, 9S is attacked by an infected Operator 21O. Meanwhile, A2 learns that machines are approaching Pascal's village.
23min - A2 and the villagers try to fend off the hostile machine lifeforms until Pascal can return with more firepower. 9S reaches the second sub-unit.
23min - Pascal and A2 receive a distress call from the Resistance camp. Meanwhile, 9S enters the third sub-unit and discovers 2B's final message.
23min - 9S hacks into the tower and meets a past version of himself who reveals the truth about 2B. Afterward, Devola and Popola save 9S from an attack.
23min - 9S fights several 2B models but incurs a serious wound. Meanwhile, elsewhere in the tower, A2 discovers the shocking truth about Project YoRHa.
23min - A2 and 9S engage in an intense duel. A2 manages to disarm him, but 9S suddenly invades her mind and taunts her with memories of everyone she has lost.
The plot will immediately make one root for the protagonists and form an unlikely connection.
