During the Ming Dynasty, the lives of three extraordinary individuals intersect at a house of ill repute: Duan Jin (Chen Ye Lin), a curious and upstanding young woman; her brother Duan Rong (Yu Yue); and Xu He Qiao (Leon Li), a budding detective. When a powerful man is found dead after a mysterious incident, suspicion falls on one of the male protagonists. Determined to uncover the truth, the trio begins investigating, quickly realizing the case is far more complex than it appears.
