Sacred Mountains with Ryan Pyle is a television series that will follow adventure traveler and award winning photographer Ryan Pyle to the far corners of the planet in the name of natural and cultural exploration, and of course some brilliant photography. Season 1 will see Ryan Pyle visit the four holy mountains of China, taking in Minya Konka Mountain, Amnye Maqen Mountain, Kara Korpo Mountain and Mount Kailash. The journey will be an important one, as Ryan will push himself to his physical limits while exploring the four biggest and most remote sacred mountains in China. Ryan's goal will be to complete a full circumnavigation of each mountain while engaging with local communities and understanding why these mountains are sacred and better understanding how people in China's most remote mountain communities live and exist in challenging high altitude mountain conditions. The journey will involve high altitude camping; mountain passes above 5,500m (18,000 feet), trekking as well as sleeping on floors in traditional homes of local village people. The key to this adventure travel television show will be to bring the audience along for some of the most authentic and extreme travel experiences ever filmed in China.
