Sublimely sculpted in shadowy monochrome, this Academy Award–nominated documentary by photographer Bruce Weber weaves together excerpts from Italian B movies, rare performance footage, and candid interviews with Baker, musicians, friends, battling ex-wives, and his children for an almost unbearably poignant elegy.
