Airline and shipping traffic is disrupted by a series of volcanic eruptions. A boy locates Gamera near Mount Fuji, but is attacked by the newly awakened giant, winged monster Gyaos, which emits a supersonic ray with its forked tongue. Gamera saves the boy, but is wounded.
