22min - The game continues, tied at 2. After Uozumi knocks him down, Akagi's aching foot throws off his game. Shohoku trail 13-4.
22min - Akagi becomes distracted by his injured foot, and Shohoku trail by nine. Uozumi aggressively blocks Hanamichi and sends him crashing to the floor.
22min - Uozumi knocks down Hanamichi, so Yohei and the others prevent a fight from breaking out. Akagi shows off his complete recovery with a signature dunk.
22min - Ryonan attack Hanamichi's weak defense and score basket after basket. Kogure subs for Hanamichi, and Shohoku take on a more aggressive stance.
22min - Rukawa takes what he learned playing Kainan and puts all his energy into the second half. Hanamichi wants a chance to shine.
22min - Rukawa hits his stride after strategically reserving his energy in the first half. The score is tied after he makes a 3-pointer.
22min - Rukawa keeps pace with Ryonan in the second half. Uozumi gets his fourth foul guarding Hanamichi. Shohoku build a 3-point lead.

22min - Ryonan start to lose their fighting spirit. Sendoh's exhaustion puts the whole team in deep crisis. Uozumi reenters the game with ferocity.
22min - Despite a 13-point deficit, Uozumi's superb performance dominates Shohoku, whose entire roster — except Rukawa — has three fouls each.
22min - Ryonan continue to put pressure on Shohoku. Meanwhile, Uozumi works on destroying Shohoku by picking at their insecurities one by one.
22min - Shohoku are in trouble as Ryonan cut their lead to 7 with 3:18 remaining. Mitsui collapses from extreme fatigue.
22min - With Mitsui out, Uozumi and Sendoh cut Shohoku's lead down to 1 point with astounding athleticism. Hanamichi begins to thrive under pressure.
22min - Hanamichi helps his team to a 1-point lead with 1:30 to go. Kogure leverages the past three years of training into a timely 3-pointer.
22min - Shohoku lead by 4 points with seconds on the clock. Ryonan put up a fight before the game is over. The winner is set to advance to nationals.
22min - Shonan breaks out in celebration over its basketball team's achievement. Rukawa takes his training more seriously than ever.
22min - Hikoichi's older sister, Yayoi, writes an article about Sendoh, but her editor rejects it. Undeterred, she visits Ryonan to gather information.
22min - Hanamichi visits Aiwa Academy to scout Moroboshi in a game against Meihou Tech. Rukawa reveals his intention to transfer to a school in the US.
22min - Anzai opposes Rukawa's plans to go to America. Rukawa gives up on the idea after acknowledging how much others expect from him and Hanamichi.
22min - Rukawa challenges Mitsui in his pursuit to be Japan's top player. Meanwhile, the Fukazawa Athletic University coach takes notice of Akagi.
22min - Akagi's team must make it to the quarterfinals for him to attend Fukazawa Athletic University. Rukawa crushes Hanamichi in a match.
22min - To play in the finals, Shohoku's players need to pass their makeup exams. Akagi helps his teammates study.
22min - After his friends raise money to travel to the big game, Hanamichi takes the cash to use for his own training — but Anzai tells him to stay behind.
22min - Hanamichi stays behind to practice with Anzai, who assigns him to shoot 20,000 baskets. Akagi and the others train in Shizuoka.
22min - As Hanamichi tackles the 20,000-shot challenge, his teammates play a practice game with Jousei High in Shizuoka.
22min - Haruko invites Hanamichi out to a festival for a break from training. Hanamichi enjoys being out on date with her alone, but others soon join them.
22min - Hanamichi completes his 20,000-shot training. The manager of the sporting goods store gives him a pair of basketball shoes before the nationals.
