Brightheart, the firefly, and her insect friends have formed an emergency rescue team called the Firefly Action Brigade. On one of their missions they meet Larva Boy, a child from the moth tribe. Larva Boy is immediately enamored with Brightheart and wants the Firefly Action Brigade to help save his village from the tyranny of predators. But the moth tribe Chief forbids Brightheart from entering the village since she represents their greatest enemy, light itself. Unfortunately for the chief a mysterious alien spaceship lands nearby looking for specimens to study. Will Brightheart be able to convince the Chief that light isn't evil and save her friends from the aliens?
