In 1937, as Japanese forces occupy Beiping, Meng Hai Tang (Zhang Ruo Nan) is separated from her parents during the university's southward migration. Traveling to Kunming, she grows closer to Zhang Qi (Hu Yi Tian), her childhood betrothed and a brave Hanguang Squadron captain fighting against the Japanese. Despite initially resisting the arranged marriage, Meng finds herself attracted to the intelligent pilot dedicated to serving his country. Together with their friends, they not only battle Japanese forces but also fight against collaborators smuggling precious Shang-dynasty oracle bones to Japan. Their love and survival are tested by the brutal wartime conditions. This is a 2022 Chinese historical romance drama directed by Jin Chen.
