Adelle followed through with her threat: Echo, Sierra, and Victor are now helpless captives, hooked up to the dreaded machines in the Attic, their brains in a fear-induced, adrenaline-fueled, overdrive state. The horrendous events of their scenarios are problems that can never be solved. There is also an added element: someone in the Attic has gained enough power to enter the others’ scenarios and wreak deadly havoc – and that death will include the actual physical death of any Actives that succumb to the fear.
