His vision laid the groundwork for Castle Hot Springs to host prominent and influential families of the Gilded Age – the Rockefellers, Astors, Pews, and Vanderbilts. Some came for their health, others for cowboy adventures, but all were enchanted by the majesty of rich mineral water flowing in the Sonoran Desert. It is a landscape of myth and memory. This Emmy Award-winning documentary is narrated by actor Peter Coyote and features vintage film footage by Cecil B. DeMille and United States Senator Barry Goldwater.
