Twenty miles South of the glitz and glimmer of the Las Vegas strip, lies one of the most inhospitable regions on the planet...the Mojave desert. This barren chunk of rock, sand, cactus and silt -sits right between the California and Nevada border. They must survive nearly 400 miles of bone-jarring desert...broken up into three 120-mile laps. The course it littered with giant whoops, deep ruts, and thick rock gardens. They must overcome searing heat, blinding sunlight, thick chalky silt and...the dark of night.
