Miroku, a womanizing delinquent priest, makes his first appearance. Miroku, who had been collecting Sacred Jewel shards, steals Kagome's shards. Inuyasha tracks him down. He confronts Miroku to get the shards back. Miroku fights back with his priest powers, a wind tunnel. When it looks like it is all over for Inuyasha, Kagome manages to close Miroku's wind tunnel. Inuyasha and the gang listen to the story of Miroku's enemy, the demon Naraku. They learn that Kikyo's enemy is also Naraku.
