Eşref Armağan is a Turkish painter who has been blind since birth. He has never been able to see. But: His paintings are amazingly realistic, incorporating colour, and great detail. And the most fascinating ability: He uses perspectives! Even a lot of seeing people are not able to do. Prof. Kennedy from Toronto University, who works since 35 years with blind people, cried as he saw this. Harvard neurologist Alvaro Pascual-Leone scanned Eşrefs brain in an MRI. He saw a little sensation. Pascual-Leone: “You can say Eşref sees with his fingers”. Filmmaker Savaş Ceviz looked over the shoulder of the fascinating blind painter while he is working on his paintings and drawings in his studio. Eşref shows his techniques and secrets.
